Three-Day wheel throwing workshop for beginners and semi-advanced
Maybe throwing pottery has been on your bucket list for a long time and you’re eager to give it a try! Have you ever got a taste of the wonderful craft of pottery through a workshop or class series? This intensive course is definitely for you!

During this three-day workshop, you’ll be fully immersed in the world of clay. You’ll learn (or improve) how to wedge clay, center it more effectively, efficiently throw cups, bowls, vases and add handles. Refining shapes during trimming with trimming tools is also a key part of the workshop.

This workshop is designed for those with little to no experience on the pottery wheel. Everyone is welcome, and you’ll work at your own pace.

The price of the workshop includes a glazing session where you can finish your fired pieces with a glaze. You can choose from 11 SOGO glazes! After glazing, your pieces will undergo a final firing at 1220°C and will be ready to shine on your table!

A maximum of 10 participants will be admitted, ensuring individualized guidance and allowing everyone to learn at their own pace.

  • What to bring

    • Apron
    • 2 towels that you don't mind getting dirty
    • Wear old clothes and shoes (all stains should come out)
    • Short nails
    • Lunch (ordering is also an option)

  • Included

    White stoneware clay is included. The bisque firing (the first firing in which clay transforms into ceramics) is included. The glazing lesson is also included. The cost for the final glaze firing of finished pieces will be billed separately based on weight. You can choose which pieces you want to keep.


    All wheel-throwing and trimming tools will be provided for all participants. Water, tea, coffee, and cookies are also provided.

  • Where and when

    January 3, 4, and 5, 2025 (the last weekend of the Christmas holiday)

    Separate glazing session on Thursday evening, January 23, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

  • Cancellation

    If you need to cancel, you can do so up to one month before the course starts. In this case, I will refund the course fee minus a €20 administrative fee.

    If you cancel less than a month before the course, the course fee will not be refunded unless you can find a replacement or there are people on the waiting list who can take your spot. In either of these conditions, I will refund the course fee minus a €20 administrative fee.
